Who we are

Sojourney is operated by HF Collection LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company with its principal place of business at 18-20 Lackawanna Plaza, Suite 300, Montclair, NJ 07042. Throughout this policy “Sojourney,” “we,” and “us” refer to HF Collection LLC.

We operate short-term rental homes across New York and New Jersey, with select Philadelphia-metro inventory. This policy explains how we handle the personal information you share with us through fifaworldcup.sojourney.co.

Information we collect

We only collect what we actually use:

  • Identity + contact info you provide when you use Ask Sojourney chat or the Contact form: name, email, phone number.
  • Booking interest details: dates, group size, home preferences, and any context you share in chat.
  • Marketing-text consent: if you opt into SMS, we record consent timestamp, IP address, browser user-agent, and the exact disclosure shown — required by US TCPA law.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, referrer. Standard server logs.
  • Cookies + similar tech: a single localStorage key (sojourney_inquiry_id) so your chat conversation persists across page loads. No third-party advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • Reply to your inquiry, send quotes, send the digital trip guide, and book your stay.
  • Send tournament-period operational messages (check-in instructions, transit updates, match-day tips). You can opt out at any time.
  • Run the site (security, fraud prevention, debugging).
  • Comply with applicable law (e.g. tax reporting on bookings, consumer protection regulations).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not run advertising trackers.

Who we share data with

Limited to the service providers we need to operate the site + respond to your inquiry:

  • Hospitable — our property management system (booking + messaging).
  • Vercel — website hosting + serverless functions.
  • Upstash Redis — short-lived inquiry state storage.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Slack — internal team routing of inquiries (no data shared beyond what you submitted).
  • Google Maps — destination geocoding + travel-time lookups (only the address you type, never your personal info).
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection challenge on the chat widget.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and is contracted to use your data only for the service they provide to us.

How long we keep it

  • Inquiry messages: 90 days from last activity, then auto-purged unless converted into an active booking record.
  • TCPA consent records: kept as long as you remain opted in, plus 4 years after opt-out (required by US law for legal defensibility).
  • Booking records: 7 years (tax + accounting requirements).
  • Server logs: 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data. Email support@sojourney.co with your request and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We'll update this policy when our practices change. Major changes will be highlighted at the top of the page. The “last updated” date above tells you the most recent revision.
